BAUMA 2010 - MEET THE POWER
Hartl Powercrusher – Presentation of their new product line „Powercrusher PC1 – PC6“ at the Bauma in Munich between the 19th and 25th of April.
The Austrians have used the the last months intensively for Product Development and will be presenting their new range „Powercrusher PC1 – PC6“ at this years Bauma.
The new Powercrusher Series is modern in design, offers excellent functionality, is innovative in the technologies used and is constructed utilising only „high quality“ components from world renowned suppliers.
These New Generation mobile tracked crushers are already being produced in Hartl´s new production facility in St Valentin. „Lean Manufacturing“ processes have been implemented in the 12000 m2 production hall using the most modern equipment and technology available in the production phases. The entire Product Range is in a Premium class and satisfies almost all customers in their crushing and screening applications and requirements.

The compact units PC1 (Impactor with an inlet opening of 1010 mm) and PC2 (Jaw with and inlet opening of 1020 mm) have already been sold globally with resounding success and act as the basis for the design of the other new generation machines.
The middle sized PC3 (Impactor with an inlet opening of 1250 mm) and PC4 (Jaw with an inlet opening of 1250 mm) are perfect in recycling as well as natural stone processing. Both models have optimised transport dimensions and a very low total weight.
These units are extremely flexible and are able to be moved very quickly from one job site to the next, where they can be set up and ready to crush in under 30 minutes – producing up to 300t/h depending on material and infeed size.
One size class bigger come the new PC5 (Impactor with an infeed opening of 1300 mm) and PC6 (Jaw with an infeed opening of 1300 mm) – these units are the power packages of the range and offer, as standard, a double deck independent heavy duty grizzy section before the materials enter the crushing chamber. This effectively screens the materials before the crushing process- this increases the end product quality. The lower deck of the grizzy is changalble, offering flexibility in the material size that is deposited by the side conveyor. This also controls the size of the middle fraction that bypasses the crusher but is directed onto the main conveyor belt to be deposited with the crushed material in the stockpile. Depending on the application, both of these units are capable of producing up to 400t/h. PC5 and 6 units main conveyor belts are able to be lowered hydraulically allowing easier access to the area under the crusher oulet, this function also simplifies conveyor belt replacement. The conveyor belt frame has a built in adaptor system allowing it, at any time, to be fitted with a screenbox.
The use of the optional screenbox allows for the production of two quality products in one pass, or the return of the oversized material back to the crusher using a return conveyor – thereby running the crusher in closed circuit.
Very importantly, the complete new Product Range has already been deisgned to accept TIER 4 components which will come into effect in the USA and Europe in 2011. This pre-planning means that as this deadline approaches, Hartl is immediately ready to move ahead with the next generation of engines and particle filtration systems.
The new fold out combi-coolers allow for ease of access as well as for ease of service and maintenance activities. The louvre arrangements have also been redesigned to facilitate the cleaning of the radiators.
The use of wider tracks mean that the machines have increased stability and mobility, especially when they are put into applications where the ground conditions are bad.
The entire new series are fitted with large covers and panels constructed of special GRP materials. Because of the nature of these materials, extremely good results are achieved related to strength as well as noise emmission reduction – the larger panels allow for excellent maintenance and service because easy access to important parts of the machine is possible. This technology has already been proven when Hartl brought out their PC1375 in 2003 – this model won the Red Dot Design Award „Best of the Best“.
The new series is rounded off with the PC1055J and PC1060I in the lower size range and the PC1610IG (Impactor with an inlet opening of 1600mm / Capacity up to 500t/h) in the higher size range.
More information about the technical innovations of the new Hartl Product Range as well as their mobile Screeners, Cone crushers and Vertical Shart Impactors is available at Bauma in hall B2, Stand 226.
