Hartl Anlagenbau wins 2008 Austrian Chamber of Commerce Export Award:

Mauthausen based Hartl Anlagenbau can be extreamely proud of their latest achievment. This year they walked away with an overall second place in category “Trade” for export.

This exceptional achievement prize has been presented to exporting companies for the past 15 years by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. President Christoph Leitl and trade minister Martin Bartenstein presented the 2008 award.

“With these awards we want to make it loud and clear that Austrian companies play a role in the global export market. Companies like Hartl Anlagenbau ensure that Austria continues to have a good reputation as being good business partners”, is what the Chamber of Commerce President had to say.

The gala event was held at the “Palladium” in Vienna and there to receive the award were the Hartl Anlagenbau managers Dominik, Alexander and Stefan Hartl, who were all extremely happy about receiving the prize.

“We accept this while thanking our employees whose everyday work has made this award possible. We would therefore like to thank everyone in the company as well as our global dealers”, is what a very proud Alexander Hartl had to say upon accepting the award.

The Mauthausen based company has been achieving global success for years and has an unbelievable 98% export figure for their trade marked “Powercrusher” products.

The booming crushing and screening industry has lead to the decision for company expansion. Hartl will shortly complete a production assembly facility in the St. Valentin area. The official groundbreaking took place in 2007 and the 12000m2 building is scheduled to be in operation in August 2008.

Stefan Hartl: “By the middle of the year production will commence and we will be working up to a production capacity of about 350 plants per year, this will also provide over 100 new jobs.”

Finding and training these people was a challenge and because of this early 2007 saw the start of a production training facility in Enns. Production processes as well as building of prototypes took place at this location. Over the coming years, as the company expands even further, Hartl will be needing even more highly qualified and motivated people. This has led to special apprentice days at Hartl’s offices in Mauthausen – this allows young apprentices to join the Hartl team and also become Austria’s future mechanicals experts.

The strength of the Upper-Austrian family run company lies in the fact that customers, dealers and partners are part of the development and continual improvement of the Hartl product line. Hartl is and will continue to also retain close ties with the regional universities and technical colleges. With a simple but meaningful company philosophy of: “With quality products and top service we will be ahead of the rest.”

This philosophy is part of the company and the current workforces of around 130 people have pledged to uphold this philosophy. It has paid off, 2006 saw the companies turnover grow by 20% to 40 million euro. 2008 is projecting a turnover of over 60 million!

As already started, Hartl has an impressive export quota of roughly 98% - this is due to a highly organized team, global logistics and a worldwide dealer network. Distribution and service partners are now present in more than 70 countries. All of this has culminated in Hartl being nominated and winning the prestigious “Export Award 2008”.
